TrialWorks Version 11 Quick Access Tabs

In TrialWorks Tips by trialworks

In this week’s Tip & Tricks, we are going to continue to demonstrate some of the cool new functionality being rolled out in TrialWorks version 11.  The Quick Access Fields in the top right of your TrialWorks screen are the perfect place to put key case information you always want displayed.  In version 11, we’ve expanded them significantly.  Not only can you customize which quick access fields are displayed, you can even add more!  First, let’s decide how many Quick Access Fields we want on our screen.

Quick Access columns 2Click on the label of any of the existing Quick Access Fields, choose “Customize”, then select the number of columns you would like to display.  You can select from 1 to 4 columns, providing up to 12 custom Quick Access Fields on your TrialWorks screen at once.

Once you have the number of fields you want displayed, let’s look at some of the options you can use to fill these fields.  Do you have to call the court frequently, requiring you to have the case court term and number readily available?  Or, are you calling adjusters all day long, and need the client’s policy or claim numbers handy?  Quick Access Fields provide case information at a glance from multiple tabs including Caption, Case Info, Clients, Docket, Insurance and Other Parties.  There are over 60 fields from which you can choose to populate your display!

Quick Access fields 2Again, just click on any existing Quick Access Field label.  Then just select the category and field that you want displayed.  You can even choose “(Empty)” if you want to leave a field blank.  It’s that simple!  And the best part is that this customization is user specific, meaning everyone in your firm can choose the fields that are most important to them.

If you chose to display all 4 columns, things may get a bit tight on the screen.  But don’t worry.  You can also increase or decrease the width of the entire Quick Access section by clicking the gray left or right arrows on the divider line.

There is also one more new field that is fully customizable.  It’s called the Long Note Field, and it is just under the case name.  As the name implies, this field is larger than the other Quick Access Fields (up to 255 characters).  It allows you to put more information up in the case header for easy access.  Examples would be: Case Facts, Case Synopsis, Last Note, or even Last Negotiation.
